Introduction

Message Mirror is one of the tools you must have on your phone. Message Mirror can help you
- Find deleted messages and call log.
- Restore deleted messages to INBOX and SENTBOX folders.
- Backup messages and call log.
- Secrete private messages.
Message Mirror monitors all incoming and outgoing messages (SMS and MMS) and call log on your phone and buckups them in a database. The database is a "mirror" of your messages and call activities. Therefore you can browse messages and call log in this application even if you have deleted them from the phone. You can also export all messages and call log to a file. You can send the file to PC/email/MMS address. Type of the file can be TEXT, HTML, CSV or XML. Besides, you can set a password to restrict access to the application - this way you can protect your private messages.

Settings Guide

When you open Message Mirror, main console of the application will show up. With the console you can
- Activate/Deactivate mirroring service. Only when mirroring service is switched on, messages and call log are mirrored.
- Export mirrored messages. You can export all mirrored messages and call log to a file. Type of the file can be TEXT/HTML/CSV/XML. You can send out the file via Bluetooth/Infrared/MMS/Email or simply store the file in phone storage.
- Browse all mirrored messages and call log.
Quit application console does not affect mirroring status.

You can browse all mirrored messages. The left picture is a screenshot of browse view.
When you browse messages, you can select Options menu to restore/forward/reply/display/delete any mirrored messages.

Click "Options" -> "Settings", you can set Message Mirror configuration.
- Auto start - Automatically start mirroring upon phone is powered on.
- Display indicator icon - Display a small icon at top of phone screen when mirroring status is on.
- Horizontal position - Set horizontal position of indicator icon.
- Vertical position - Set vertical position of indicator icon.

- Mirror incoming msg - Enable/Disable monitoring for incoming messages.
- Mirror outgoing msg - Enable/Disable monitoring for outgoing messages.
- Mirror MMS - Enable/Disable monitoring for multimedia messages (MMS). The application can mirror the text part of MMS (up to 1000 characters).
- Mirror call log - Enable/Disable monitoring for call activities.

- Enable black list - Enable/Disable black list. When black list is enabled, message from/to the numbers in black list is not mirrored.
- Black list - Set phone numbers of black list. Put ","as separator between phone numbers. You can use wildcard characters "*" and "?", where "*" matches zero or more consecutive occurrences of any character and "?" matches a single occurrence of any character. For instance, *44831* stands for any number contains "44831". 992????? stands for any 8 digits number and starts with 992. Be noted operator often insert country code before phone numbers.
- Enable white list - Enable/Disable white list. When white list is enabled, only message from/to the numbers in white list is mirrored.
- White list - Set phone numbers of white list. (Refer to Black list).
- Enable secret list - Enable/Disable secret list. When secret list is enabled, message from/to the numbers in secret list is mirrored and be automatically deleted from phone Inbox/Sentbox. Secret list has a higher priority than black/white list.
- Secret list - Set phone numbers of secret list. (Refer to Black list).

- Display reminder note - When secret list is enabled, you can set the application to display a reminder note when an incoming message from secret number is received.

- Prohibited word - The incoming message content is checked for prohibited words. If the content contains any prohibited word, the message is not mirrored. You can set many prohibited words, put "," as separator.
- Restrictive word - The incoming message content is checked for restrictive words. If the content does NOT contain any restrictive word, the message is not mirrored. You can set many restrictive words, put "," as separator.
- Max mirror number - Set the maximum number of messages to be stored in database. When te max capacity is reached, new message record will overwrite old ones. "0" means no limit.
- Export method - Select a method for exporting messages. You have 5 options: Email, MMS, Bluetooth, Infrared and Phone storage.

- Export file type - Select a file type for exporting messages. You have 4 options: TEXT, HTML, CSV and XML.
- First view - Set the first view you want to see when opening the application. You have 2 options, "Main Console" and "Quick Browse".

- Password - Set a password to restrict access to Message Mirror. The password should contain 1-8 characters. Password is encrypted and stored on your phone. Once you have set a password, each time you open Message Mirror, you need to login with password.
- Start timer - Time to start mirroring. Start timer must be earlier than stop timer. If start timer is not earlier than stop timer, Message Mirrorb> will always mirror messages.
- Stop timer - Time to stop mirroring. Start timer must be earlier than stop timer. If start timer is not earlier than stop timer, Message Mirrorb> will always mirror messages.

Message Log
|
When you export mirrored messages, Message Mirror converts mirrored messages to a log file. Four file types are supported: TEXT, HTML, CSV and XML. Below are some examples:

Note: Microsoft Excel cannot read UTF8 encoded CSV file. If you have problems to open a CSV file in Microsoft Excel, please convert your messages to XML format.

Online Backup
|
Message Mirror is a certified CAREMYPHONE client application. CAREMYPHONE is a online cloud service to help people to backup phone events (SMS/MMS/Call) over Internet. CAREMYPHONE also allows users to browse his phone events online. The communication between Message Mirror and CAREMYPHONE is 256bit encrypted.
User need to register a free account at CAREMYPHONE.COM and configure his account in Message Mirror online backup settings. Refer to below manual about online backup settings.

Online backup - Turn ON/OFF your online backup account.
|
|
User ID - Your account ID.
Password - Your account password.
|
|
Backup type - Select a backup type.

Real time - Event is transferred right after it happens.

Certain time - Events are transferred at a fixed time every day.

Periodic timer - Events are transferred periodically. You may set a periodical timer of 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or 4 hours.

Auto detect - Events are automatically transferred when a network connection is detected. For instance when you browse web sites on your phone, the client application can detect your browser connection and use this connection to transfer events.

Network type - Select the network type to transfer events. You may select Wifi or 3G/GPRS or both.
WIFI connection - Select a Wifi connection or "Auto" to try all Wifi connection one by one.
3G/GPRS connection - Select a 3G/GPRS connection or "Auto" to try all 3G/GPRS connection one by one.

Due to huge demand for Message Mirror customization, we offer premium customize service. We know some users want to hide this application from phone. The customize package include:
- Hide Message Mirror icon from phone menu.
